...a walk on the edge of spring at my husband's family ranch in S. TX . The ranch was in bloom and full of new life. We had a memorable walk while the baby napped in his Wella's arms in a rocking chair on the porch. We visited the family cemetery and took pics of the old haunted ranch house. A family of deer crossed the dirt road in front of us. I stopped and looked at each type of wildflower and cacti. I took some great pics of rusty ranch equipment. Check out the rust pics on myflickr.
This takes me to a childhood memory of shelling purplehull peas with my great gram Amelia and letting the hot summer day go by. I love how antique and vintage goods can waken a memory and even make you feel warm.
I always bring my camera along to antique shows. My favorite show, and the best in Texas, is the twice yearly show in Warrenton/Round Top. I took this pic at Sack Lunch in the back of the Clutter tent. Clutter is not to be missed and neither are the cookies sold out of an Airstream at Sack Lunch! Spring 2010 show is March 26-April 3....more faves from the show coming soon!
Welcome Guerra Girl! I'm breaking the ice and welcoming spring! This splendid store front display is at the new Anthropologie in my neighborhood. The hanging flowers are made from upcycled plastic bottles. ♥ it!
